Im Beni Abbes Biwak reagierten die anderen Wettbewerber mit der Niederlage. Die Organisation der Rallye und die anderen Teilnehmer haben ihren Respekt an die Familie bezahlt. Der Tuareg-Rallye-Veranstalter Rainer Autenrieth hat angekündigt, dass die vierte Etappe aus Respekt vor Stefani abgesagt wird.
